Dear Friends & family,
Today we leave on a missions trip to Oak Hills in Bemidji, Minnesota. We are taking a work team to help prepare Camp Oak Hills to reopen the summer camp ministry that has not operated since 1986. My parents were missionaries there in the 1930s & 1940s. Our first event will be my mothers funeral at the Evangelical Free Church of Wauconda (Illinois). She died July 5 at the age of 94. We feel this is an appropriate beginning for our trip because Oak Hills and its ministry was always so important to both of my parents.
Our other connection with Oak Hills is that our church Grace Bible Church supports Joe Smith on the Oak Hills staff. He has been a guest in our home. We contacted him when we started thinking about this trip over a year ago.
We appreciate your prayers for our team, safety in traveling, my mother's homegoing service, and the ministry at Oak Hills.
Thank you,
Pete Adams
