STAT 2008

Tomorrow we start STAT 2008 as we depart Ann Abor traveling to Bemidji, Minnesota. STAT stands for Short Term Adult Trips. The idea originated with our previous Missions Team Leader Dick Sterken. Grace Bible Church had sponsered a number of missions trips for our high school and middle school youth. STAT is a way of getting adults involved in mission trips. STAT 2006 took us to Word of Life Czech Republic in Cerna Hora not far from Brno, Czech Republic. My brother, Sam Adams, is on the staff of this camp modeled after the first Word of Life camp in Scroon Lake, New York. We took a work team that helped teach English, coach soccer & volleyball, paint camp buildings, dig ditches for electrical cable and particpate in High School Camp's first week of meetings. We met many wonderful Czech Christians. We are looking forward to another wonderful experience as we go to Camp Oak Hills during this coming week.
